Amazon Influencer Program
The Amazon Influencer Program is designed for individuals who have established a significant following on social media platforms like Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok. This program targets influencers—however this program is specifically looking for influencers who have an engaging following.
How to get approved: There are two steps for the approval process
Social Media Focus: To get approved for step one, you must have a social media channel that is public and it is engagement focused. Meaning Amazon really cares more about the engagement your channel receive rather than the followers.
Video Reviews: Step two focuses on your ability to review Amazon products. This part is tricky! You need to submit 3 product review videos to get approved for step 2.
Commission Structure: Once approved on both steps you can now earn commission on all reviewed amazon products. It is that simple.
Amazon Affiliate Program
On the other hand, the Amazon Affiliate Program, also known as Amazon Associates, is open to a broader audience, including bloggers, website owners, and content creators. This program allows participants to earn referral fees by promoting Amazon products on their websites, blogs, or other digital platforms.
Key Features of the Amazon Affiliate Program:
Website or Blog Integration: Affiliates integrate Amazon affiliate links into their content (such as product reviews, buying guides, or recommendations) on their websites or blogs.
Steps: This is much easier as they do not have steps like the Amazon Influencer program for approval. However you must make 3 sales in 90 days or your account is deactivated.
Versatile Promotion: Affiliates can promote Amazon products across various content types, including articles, videos, and social media groups.
Commission Structure: Affiliates earn commissions based on the sales generated through their referral links. Commissions vary by product category and sales volume.
